I’m starting to learn that whenever I say, “every week or so” what I really mean is about every 10 days. I aim to visit my garden every week. What happens is that I visit it every 10 days. I aim to have a blog post up every Tuesday, and what do you know it’s Friday today.

Anyway, here’s the updates:

The Garden is significantly overgrown with tall grass and weeds. The lettuce has benefited from their shade most from this. I let the radishes go too long and they were pretty crunchy in my salad last week, but I’m happy to have some produce rather than none. The tomatoes and peppers are pretty sad looking. I think they need fertilizer. The herbs were completely hidden by the weeds. I spent the majority of my time there last week clearing out the area around them. I brought home some lemon verbena, but I haven’t figured out what to do with it.

I’ve been putting off a trip to get fertilizer simply because I don’t want to pay for the uber/lyft. I am behind on planting my warm weather crops like cucumber, and I’m pretty sure the deer are selectively eating the pole beans and peas.

Thursday was my only day off last week and I used that time to break in a brand new hydration pack with a hike. I absolutely loved that time and have since started daydreaming daily if it’s worth it to rent an HourCar solely for my day hikes? All of the Subaru’s (my favorite anyway) have state park passes so why not? Maybe I’ll make this a bucket list item.

A friend of mine is getting her Wellness Coach certification and I gingerly said I would be a client. One of my big goals is incorporating a good life balance and getting my pre-work/adulting duties out of the way so I can truly enjoy my weekend. I was all for this until yesterday, my last day off before the weekend, I was paralyzed with procrastination anxiety. I’ll let you know on Tuesday how this new routine goes. I hope your weekend goes well.

Leave me a comment and let me know if setting rigid goals and plans aggravates your anxiety and what do you do to combat it?
